TB - Use The Touchscreen Builder to Create Touchscreen Presentations

Introduction: 

Use this App to design, create, and publish touchscreen presentations using dynamic widgets that engage, inform, and motivate purchase at the point of sale. Stream the latest interior and exterior renderings, videos, 3D animations, models, pricing, features and finishes, interactive amenity maps, and site plans. View virtually any asset you can imagine seamlessly, and in real-time, to provide an immersive presentation. 


As part of our Omni Channel Platform, the Touchscreen builder is integrated with Bildhive’s Form and Survey Configurator (FSC), Broadcast and Email Builder (BEB), Content Asset Management (CAM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Home Model Configurator (HMC), Site Plan Configurator (SPC),  Condo Grid Configurator (CGC), Amenities Map Configurator and Features Configurator (FC), etc.

Get Started

Before you Launch the Touchscreen Builder

  1. To display data on the touchscreen, FIRST configure the information in these apps:

  • Amenities Map Configurator (AMC)

  • Home Model Configurator (HMC) for lowrise projects or Condo Unit Configurator (CUC) for high rise projects

  • Site PlanConfigurator (SPC) for lowrise or Condo Grid Configurator (CGC) for high rise projects

  • Masterplan (MPC) for multi-phased and/or group projects 

  • Features Configurator (FC) for exterior and interior packages

  1. After configuring the information, then, Launch the Touchscreen Builder.


Launch the Touchscreen Builder (TB)

  1. Go to the project’s Workplace,

  2. Under Marketing and Communications Management, find the Touchscreen Builder (TB) and select it 


Info: You will be redirected to the Main Screen of the App. There are two Segments on this screen: the Navigation Bar to the left and the Main Stage.  


Use the Left Navigation Bar to navigate to:

  • All Projects 

  • Published


Create A New Touchscreen Presentation

Give your Project a Name

  1. To start a new Touchscreen, from the Main Stage, go to the top right and click Create Touchscreen

  2. The Create New Touchscreen pop-up opens

  3. In the Project Name field, enter a Name *

  4. Click Ok

  5. The Template Library opens

  6. Next, from the Template Library, pick a template


Mandatory fields.


Select a Predefined Template

  1. In the Template Library, roll over a thumbnail and click Preview to open a new tab where you can test drive the template

  2. Once you find the one that best fits your needs, select it and click Continue


!!  The system automatically shows templates based on whether your project is Low-Rise or High-Rise. All the elements offered are appropriate for your project type.


Enter the Common Elements’ Settings – including Screensaver, General Settings, Button Settings, and Translation Settings

  1. To play a video as a Screensaver, click the media thumbnail to open your Media Library, then select a Video

  2. Under General Settings, select the Logo that identifies your project, the Navigation and Button’s Colors, and the Translation Settings 

  3. Some Templates include other settings like Top Background Image and Color, a Footer Logo, and Disclaimer Text

  4. When you’re ready, click Next to adjust the Template Colors 

  5. To change the Common Element Settings, follow these steps: Adjust the Common Elements 


!!  What are Translation Settings?


Each page of the touchscreen templates is labeled with the Industry's Most Commonly Used Names. You can assign different titles or headers to each page. Just map them using the Translation Settings. For instance, if you want to rename the "Elevation" page to "Home Styles", simply navigate to the Translation Settings, find the "Elevation" page, and enter "Home Styles" in the corresponding field.


Select the General Color Palette and Fonts for the Touchscreen Presentation

To customize the Color Palette and Fonts for your touchscreen presentation, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Color Palette:

  • If you selected a Predefined Template, the Primary, Secondary, Text, and Accent Colors from the template will appear on the Color Palette Screen.

  1. Change Individual Colors:

  • To change any color (Primary, Secondary, Text, or Accent), click the button with the Color Sample and Hex #.

  • In the Color Detail Pop-up, you can:

    • Change the Hex # or RGB numbers.
      Move the Color Slider.
      Select a Shade from the Color Gradient Bar.

    • Switch the Color Theme.

  1. Change the Entire Palette:

  • To switch the whole color scheme, choose one of the suggested Color Schemes.

  • If none of the suggestions work, click Randomize Suggestions until you find the right fit.

  1. Adjust Heading/Font Settings:

  • Once satisfied with the color selections, click Next to customize the Heading and Font Settings.

  1. Finalize and Create:

  • When all adjustments are complete, scroll to the bottom and click Create Touchscreen.

  • You will be directed to the Touchscreen Builder Screen, where you can begin styling and adding

If you need to change colors or fonts later, repeat these steps.


Introduction to the Touchscreen Builder Screen: 

The Builder Screen is the place where you style and add content. It has 5 key Segments:

  1. Navigation Bar 

  • Use this bar to navigate between different sections ofyour presentation

  •  Depending on the template design, it may be located on the left, right, or bottom of the page

  1. Main Stage 

  • The central area where you Preview your presentation in real time as you make adjustments

  1. Right Navigation Bar 

  • This narrow bar on the right side of the screen lets you open the Pages Editing Panel or the Project Settings Panel

  1. Editing Panel  

  • Located to the left of the Right Navigation Bar, use it to adjust and customize the individual sections of each page – text, images, colors, and layout elements

  1. The Top Bar

  • Use this bar to view your Connection Status, Connect to a Device, Publish your Presentation, and Save your work

 Use the Publishing Manager to complete this step.

The Page Settings List

Introduction to the Page Settings List

Each page in the presentation contains a set of settings, which vary by page and by template. Below is a list of the most common page settings:

  • Page Title or Header. 

Titles are consistent throughout the templates, but you can use this field to assign a different title to each page

  • Page Icon 

The icon identifies the page in the navigation menu

  • Page Visibility Selector 

To hide the page in the presentation, turn the selector off by sliding it to the left

  • Dropdown to select the Instance to pull the Data from 

This indicates the project from which the data will be pulled

  • Background Image

Upload or choose a background image for the page

  • Color Settings

 Adjust the colors for different elements of the page, including the header, body, and background


Adjust the Common Elements Settings

To adjust any of the Common Elements, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Pages List 

  • From the Right Navigation Bar, select Pages to open the Pages List.

  1. Select the Common Elements Folder

  • Locate and click the Common Elements folder.

  1. Choose the Element to Adjust

  • From the list, select the specific element you want to adjust.

  1. Make Your Adjustments

  • The Settings List for that element will open. Make the necessary changes.

  1. Switch Between Elements

  • To adjust a different element, scroll up or down the list, select the desired element, and make the adjustments.

  1. Return to the Pages List

  • At the top of the Element list, click the Back Arrow 

  1. Save Your Changes

  • Don’t forget to save your changes before navigating away.


Master Plan and Site Plan Pages – Low-Rise Projects 


Introduction to the Master Plan


The Master Plan centralizes data from different builders in Group Community Projects or phases of multi-phased projects. Use the Masterplan Configurator to streamline this process.

Master plans are showcased EXCLUSIVELY on projects where a master plan has been previously configured.


Masterplan Page Setup

  1. From the Right Navigation Bar, select Pages to open the Pages List

  2. From the Pages List, select Masterplan

  3. Define the Page Title, the Icon (if applicable), and Visibility — remember, not all projects have a master plan

  4.  To show the lots that are on Hold, slide the selector to the Left 

  5. Keep it to the Right to Hide them

  6. To temporarily cover lots on the Site Plan, select a Hide Color

  7. If you have already defined Tags for the lots and want them displayed, click on the Show Specific Tags field and select the tags you want to show

Site Plan Page Setup

  1. From the Right Navigation Bar, select Pages to open the Pages List then, select Site Plan

  2. On the Site Plan page’s Settings List:

  • Define the Page Title or Header

  • the Page Icon (if applicable)

  • Set Page Visibility

  • Select the Project or Instance to pull the data from

  1. In the Site Plan Settings section:

  • Define whether you want your Site Plan to remain Interactive (showing which homes can be built on each lot) or slide the Static Siteplan? selector to the Left to make it Static

  • Slide the Hide Hold? to the Left to show the lots that are on Hold or keep it to the Right to hide them

  • Select a Hide Color to Cover the lots you want to hide on the Site Plan

  • If you have already defined Tags for the lots and you want to display them, click the Show Specific Tags field and Select the Tags you want to show

  • By Default, the Site Plan has Pulsating Dots that indicate the Lot Status

    • to Stop the dots from Pulsating, slide the Pulsate Dots? selector to the Left 

    • You can also select to Hide the Dots

  1. Interactive Maps show which homes can be built in each lot when the lot is selected, 

  2. To define the Color Settings for the Sliding Panel that shows the homes that fit into each lot:

  •  Scroll Down to the Model Settings section and open it

  • In the Model Background Color selector, define the color for the of the sliding panel

  • In the Model Text Color selector, b the color of the text displaying the details of the Models 


Home Model Page – Low-Rise Projects

General Setup

  1. From the Right Navigation Bar, select Pages to open the Pages List, and choose Home Models

  2. On the Home Models page’s List, 

  • Define the Page Title or Header

  • Define the Page Icon (if applicable)

  • Set Page Visibility

  • Select the Project or Instance to Pull the Data From

  1. Email Setup

  • Potential Clients can Email themselves the floor plans that interest them directly from the Touchscreen presentation 

  • To set up this functionality, scroll down to the Email Subject field and type the Subject for this email

  • If an email Template has already been set up, select it from the Choose an Email Template dropdown

  • To select the Address from where this Email will come, open the Choose an Email Sender dropdown and select the Sender’s Email Address

  • Make sure the sender is a Verified User

Models Settings

!!  Heads-Up, the settings described below MAY VARY between templates.

  1. To set up the Model Settings:

  • Scroll down the Settings List, and click Model Settings

  1. To control which models are displayed:

  • Open the Filter Home Models dropdown

  • Select one of the following options:

    •  Show All Home Models to display all models,

    • Only Standing Inventory to show only Inventory Homes,

    • Non-standing Inventory Models to show everything except the Inventory Homes

  1. To control the Order in which the models appear:

  •  Go to the Sort Model Homes field and select NoneAlphabeticalSQFT, or Size

  1. to Enable users to navigate through the models: 

  • Keep the Show Filter? selector to the Right

Once users click on a model, they will see the elevations and details for that model

  • To hide the filter navigation, slide the Show Filter? selector to the Left 

  1. To show key home information —Sq. Ft., Beds, or Baths:

  • Slide the corresponding selectors to the Right

  1. You can also adjust the Text Color and define the different Color Settings for the filter 

  2. Depending on the template, you can enter a Disclaimer or Legal Text

Model Detail Settings

Once they click on a Home Model, the Detail Page opens. From there, they can navigate through different Elevations, view Floorplans, and explore other Details such as Beds, Baths, Square Footage, and more.

  1. To allow the Potential Clients to Email themselves a Floor Plan:

  •  Slide the Show Email Floorplan Button? selector to the Right 

  • This inserts an Email Floorplan Button on the Model’s Detail Page 

  • Once the Buyer clicks Email Floorplans, they are taken to the Send Floorplan page where they enter their Information and Consent

  • After submitting, they are taken to a Thank You Page

  1. To Configure these settings:

  • On the Home Model Page, scroll down and select Model Detail Settings

  1. To Show the Email floorplan Button: 

  • Slide the Show Email floorplan Button? selector to the Right

  1. To set the Thank You Page Header: 

  • Find the Email Floorplan Thank You Header field and enter a Header

  1. To type the Body of the message:

  •  Use the Email Floorplan Thank You Description field

  1. To add a Consent Message:

  • Type it into the Consent Text field 

  1. To Show the second floor plan first:

  • Slide the Show Second Floor Plan First? selector to the Right

  1. You can also adjust:

  •  The Text Color 

  • And the Color Settings for the navigation bar on the Detail page 


!! TIP: Standard Navigation Buttons in the Details Page: 

  1. View floorplan – Explore different floorplan options

  2. Compare floorplans – Compare multiple floorplans side by side

  3. View on Siteplan – Highlighting the lots into which model fits

  • If no lots are highlighted, there are no lots left into which this model can fit

  1. Back to Models – Return to the main models list


Suites Page - High Rise Projects

General Setup

  1. From the Right Navigation Bar, select Pages to open the Pages List, and choose Suites

  2. On the SuitesList, 

  • Define the Page Title or Header

  • Define the Page Icon (if applicable)

  • Set Page Visibility

  • Select the Project or Instance to Pull the Data From

  1. Email Setup

  • Potential Clients can email themselves the floor plans that interest them directly from the Touchscreen presentation 

  • To set up this functionality, scroll down to the Email Subject field and type the Subject for this email

Unit Settings Setup

  1. To set up the Unit Settings:

  •  Scroll down the Settings List, and click Unit Settings 

  1. To Sort the Order in which the models appear — if supported by the template:

  •  Go to the Sort Model Homes field, and select one of the following:

    •  None

    • Alphabetical

    • SQFT

  1. To Enable the user to Navigate the Suites using Filters:

  • Keep the Show Filter? selector to the Right to display the filtering options 

  • to Hide the filters, slide the Show Filter? selector to the Left 

  1. To enter a Disclaimer or Legal Text —if supported by the template:

  • Find the corresponding field and type your disclaimer

  1. You can also adjust:

  •  The Text Color, 

  • And the Color Settings for the navigation bar on the Detail page 

  1. Once the user clicks on a model, they’ll be able to view its elevations, floorplans and key details


Set Up an IFrame


Introduction:


An iFrame or Inline Frame, is a section where you can embed interactive tools such as the Resimo Real Estate 3D Apartment Sales Application, videos, or 3D walkthroughs of units.


  1. To insert an IFrame, go to the Right Navigation Bar and, from the Pages List, select Suites 

  2. Then, scroll down the Suites Settings List, and click iFrame Settings

  3. In the IFrame URL field, enter the URL of your 3D Application — ask your Provider for this link

Unit Detail Settings

  1. The Detail Page opens, and they can view:

  • Floorplans

  • Elevations

  • Key details such as Beds, Baths, Square Footage, etc.

  1. To allow the Potential Clients to Email themselves a Floor Plan:

Enter the body of the message

  • In the Consent Text field:
    Type your consent message 

  1. Below that, you can choose to turn ON or OFF any details you want to display in the presentation

  2. Some templates display unit details inside a container

 you can adjust the Background Color of the container in the Unit Detail Settings panel


Gallery Page

  1. Open the Pages List, and select Gallery

  2. In the gallery page’s Settings List, define the:

  •  Page Title or Header

  • Page Icon (if applicable)

  • Page Visibility


  1.  To adjust an image title:

  • Click on the image to open its Settings, then update the Title field.

  1. To replace an image:

  • Open the image’s Settings.

  • Click on the image to open the Media Library, and select a replacement image.

  1. To remove an image:

  • Open the image’s Settings, and click Remove Image.

  1. To add a new image to the gallery:

  • Scroll to the bottom of the Image List, and click Add Image.

  • In the new image’s Settings, enter an Image Title,

  • Then click the Image Field to open your Media Library, and select an image.

Features Page

Amenities Page

About Us Page

 About Us Setup

  1. Open the Pages List, and select About Us

  2. On the Amenities page’s Settings List, define:

  • Page Title or Header,

  • Page Icon (if applicable)

  • Page Visibility

  1. Enter and stylize the 

  • Header: 

    • Enter your header content 

    • Adjust the color and font style

  • Body Text:

    • Enter your body content

    • Adjust the color and font style

Publish the Touchscreen Presentation & Upload to Sales Center Devices

Step 1: Preview your Touchscreen Presentation

!! Use this feature to review and share your presentation before it's installed on a physical touchscreen. 

  1. Go to the Top Navigation Bar and click Publish

  2. Bildhive uploads the presentation and opens it in a new browser tab

  3. You can Preview your touchscreen Presentation here or copy the Url to share it with others –e.g., clients, reviewers, team members

  4. Important: After you first publish, click Publish again every time you make changes –this updates the preview version


!! This URL simulates the touchscreen experience, but IT IS NOT YET CONNECTED TO A PHYSICAL DEVICE.


Step 2: Deploy the Presentation to Sales Center Touchscreens


Use the Publishing Manager app to make the presentation live on actual touchscreen devices.

The Project List – Edit and Navigate your Projects

Introduction to the Main Navigation Bar:

From the Main Navigation Bar, you can access:

  • All Projects –View the cards of all your projects

  • Published Projects –View the cards of published projects


!! If you are currently editing a project, click the X in the Top Bar to close the editing screen and return to the main project list.


Rename, Edit, Duplicate, or Delete a Project

  1. From the Main Menu, select All Projects or Published Projects

  2. Locate the project you want to manage 

  3. In the Bottom Right Corner of the project card, click the Three-Dot Action Menu

  4. Choose the Action you want to take: Rename, Edit, Duplicate, or Delete
